AN ORGANIZED BICYCLE RIDE AND STORYTELLING TOUR
JUNE 15, 2019
WASHINGTON BORO, PA
Our mission is to bring together people, bicycling and storytelling for extraordinary learning and fun.
HOW IT WORKS
The Story Ride is three things in one: an organized bike ride, a curated history tour, and an after party. Along the tour, riders stop at various story sites, where they are told a bit of mind-bending history by an on-site storyteller before rolling on. Included in registration is admission to the post-ride meal, catered by Lancaster’s Himalayan Grill, at the breathtaking Keagy King Farm. The ride formally ends at the farm, where riders are welcome to eat and socialize for as long as they like before moseying back to the parking area, less than a mile away. That’s it! Here is the amazing lineup of sites and storytellers for 2019.
Started in 2018, The Story Ride was too much fun not to repeat. We’re back for a second round with new sites and stories!
The Story Ride is accessible to all rider levels. Register for either a 45 mile (includes 8 story sites, 3000 ft. elevation gain) or 22 mile ride (includes 4 story sites, 1500 ft. elevation gain). Given site locations, each loop has portions with considerable hills and heavily trafficked roads. Please sign-up for a ride you feel you can comfortably complete. Rides start at Central Manor Church of God at 8:00 AM for 45-mile riders and 9:15 AM for 25-mile riders. Parking is available at CMC and Central Manor Elementary School. Registrants must agree to our terms of participation.
22 Mile Ride - $40
45 Mile Ride - $50
